Alan Goldberg BA LLB (UCT)
Alan is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He is a specialist in the area of maritime law and has built a well deserved reputation in the industry for his legal skills and his down to earth relationships with clients. Alan truly loves his work and enjoys rendering services to his many clients. Alan is committed to and prefers a less formal and hands on approach to his work and will often be found on board ships, visiting clients in the Port of Cape Town. In addition Alan is committed to being socially responsible and is known for his generous pro-bono legal work in Cape Town. He also lectures in maritime law at the University of Cape Town and supervises post-graduate thesis work also at UCT.

Julian is a candidate attorney completing an LLB at UNISA. One of his roles is managing the busy practice, including client relations, at Alan Goldberg & Associates Attorneys. Prior to turning to the law Julian, a licensed Zimbabwe clinical psychologist, spent twenty years in education developing and managing Education Support services most notably the creation of the award winning Inclusive Education programme at United Herzlia Schools in Cape Town. Along with his growing legal skills Julian brings years of experience in human relations, strategic management, project management, insight and calm guidance to our clients’ legal matters.
Valerie is the bookkeeper and administration assistant of our practice. She worked at a leading South African bank for many years and thereafter at a service company where she was the accounts manager. Valerie ensures that the account management systems of our practice are maintained with care and efficiency.
